FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

I would highly recommend taking the tours at the beginning of your trip to truly reap the benefits. It’ll help give you a solid understanding of the lay of the land, allow you plenty of time to return to your favorite off-the-beaten path sights, and you’ll receive incredible guidance to help you get the best out of your other days.

So the number one requirement for my tours is comfortable walking shoes. Unless transport is included, we’ll be walking for the most part so comfort is key if you want your feet to wander happily. Shoes aside, I'd also suggest light clothing, particularly during summer. Would skip jeans!

At least 15 minutes prior to the tour start time as traffic can be quite unpredictable. Prior to the tour, check Google Maps to estimate how long you'll need from your location to the meeting point and add buffer time as well. Please note that there aren't many, if at all, street signs to lead visitors around. So I can't stress this enough... please arrive early!
Late arrival policy:
If it’s a group tour, guests will have to find and catch up with the rest of the group. The guide won’t be able to answer any calls or messages after the tour start time and the tour duration will not be extended. Please note that if there are no other bookings, the maximum waiting time for the single booking is 20 minutes, after which, the tour is considered cancelled and is nonrefundable.
If it’s a private tour, guests who are running late past the agreed start time, will have to notify the guide, who may shorten the tour duration accordingly. Please note that the maximum waiting time is 30 minutes, after which, the tour is considered cancelled and is nonrefundable.

For The Dubai Landmarks Tour, if the minimum no. of 3 guests is not met, the tour can still go ahead with a minimum of 2 people; however, the 60 min boat trip will be substituted with a 60 min visit to The View at the Palm with jaw-dropping views of the man-made island from the 52nd floor observation deck, as well as views of the Bluewaters Island, Marina and other sights.

Yes. Dubai weather during the summer (June to October), can be quite hot, and to top it off, also humid. But, it's nothing that we can avoid altogether. Plus, the city is more than equipped with its many air conditioned sights and shaded spots. So put your game face on, and make sure you keep hydrated, and we'll embrace the heat together.

All tours involve moderate physical activity. Guests should be in good health, able to walk slightly longer distances at a comfortable pace, and able to participate in periods of standing.

That's nothing to worry about whatsoever. Whether it's just you and I, or with another group of wanderers, I promise that we're all going to become great friends. My tours attract a lot of single travelers, as well as couples and small groups of friends. It's a fantastic way to meet and learn from people all over the world.

The summer stuffiness can be irritating for babies and very young children. Also, the tour can be quite long for them to be out and about, even if in strollers. The tours are best suited for children between the ages of 7 and 11.

Absolutely! With some tours, we may have to make arrangements in advance such as booking club cars whenever possible, arranging wheelchairs, ensuring ramps are available. Please contact me directly to discuss the suitability and if a private alternative tour is recommended.

Great question. There are a few things which are not included in the price of the tour. Transportation to and from the meeting and farewell points and meals, UNLESS specified, are not included. The cost of any souvenirs and snacks or beverages that you purchase along the way is also not included.
-
Definitely. Tours will run as usual, as previous restrictions have been relaxed. So there are no changes to the itineraries unless otherwise mentioned.
