"I want people to really see my Dubai"

— The Telegraph

We'll journey from Dubai to Abu Dhabi for a visit to one of the world's most breathtaking landmarks, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Dressed in dazzling white marble and crowned with elegant domes, the mosque welcomes visitors of all backgrounds to experience its beauty up close.

As we explore the grounds, you'll see palm-inspired columns, delicate floral mosaics, and graceful arches that reflect centuries of Islamic artistry. I'll share stories about the mosque's intricate construction, its symbolism, and the spiritual practices that take place here including the 'wudu' cleansing ritual and Friday's communal prayer, salat al-jumu'ah.

After soaking in the mosque's rich details from glittering chandeliers to its record-breaking hand-knotted carpet, comes the moment that makes this edition unlike any other. As the call to Maghrib prayer echoes across the grounds and the sun dips below the horizon, we'll join hundreds of worshippers, residents, and visitors for a communal iftar, the meal that breaks the day's fast.

Seated together on the mosque grounds, shoulder to shoulder with people from every walk of life, you'll experience firsthand what Ramadan is really about: faith, community, and contemplation. This isn't a restaurant dinner. This is breaking bread in one of the holiest settings in the UAE, sharing a meal generously served by the mosque. It's generous, it's grounding, and it's the kind of moment that stays with you long after you've left.

With full hearts and full stomachs, we'll then head just across the way to Wahat Al Karama, a serene memorial plaza and reflection space. There, we'll pause for a photo stop with arguably the best panoramic view of the mosque, now beautifully illuminated against the night sky and reflected in the long pool, creating a view that feels almost surreal.

Once we've had our fill of beauty, stories, and a meal that fed more than just the stomach, we'll make our way back to Dubai, hearts full, camera rolls fuller.
